02.09.11: In a Fever

...and it's not "Bieber Fever."

An actual honest-to-goodness fever. Currently tipping at the scales at just over a hundred. Day 4 of that jazz. Trying to decide if I need to see a doctor. We'll see how the cough/throat/fever/aches/etc. are doing tomorrow!

Anyway, it's a new month and now time for a new blog.

So, what's up... Well...

I have a TV! *AND* Internet! That's quite an accomplishment, I think! I ended up winning the YouTube contest with GoogleTV and am now the proud owner of a 46" flat screen Sony HD television. Quite excited about that... Plus, with that TV (and my addiction) necessitating interwebz, I decided to sign my house up for that, too. It's nice, you know? Being able to lay in my bed without fear of the internet going out at any moment... not having to decide if I need to sit in the floor of my bathroom with a heater just so I can Skype... haha!

Work's finally going alright. I get decent hours when I feel like working. However, if I'm going to be self-sufficient, I really need something better paying. I don't want to complain. I *AM* in a good situation right now. I am *QUITE* lucky to have parents who both are financially capable of helping me, *AND* willing to help me. I am thankful.

However, I feel like such a failure.

Here I am, supposedly this at least somewhat bright, maybe talented young woman. I've got two degrees from a good university and a decent set of a skills to match. And yet... I can't pay my own rent?

There seems to be something wrong with that picture...

Anyway, enough with the negativity.

I want a pizza.


(PS- I'm going to Kansas in less than 2 weeks to meet the rest of Matt's family! AH! I'm nervous, but *VERY* excited! Oh, the things we do for love!)
