04.11.10: The Dream of Joy and Fear

Last night...

I had a dream.

Some how, some way, a small portion of the cast of Glee ended up performing a short live set to a small audience at a tiny auditorium here in Lubbock. I was on the front row.

I heard Lea Michelle, Cory Monteith, Matt Morrison and a few more. During the show, there were these blue rings (about the size of a donut) that fell from the ceiling onto the kids microphone stands. They used them in the show (somehow?) and after they were finished with them, threw them into the audience. Well, while the extra blue rings fell from the ceiling, an extra didn't land on the stand correctly and rolled into the audience right at my feet. I snatched that bad boy up so quickly! I was so excited to have a little piece of Glee history.

However, the cast was still chunking theirs and, oddly enough, Cory Monteith looked directly at me and tossed his to me. I couldn't believe it! I was in shock. Cory looked DIRECTLY AT ME. It was amazing, and I felt I needed to talk to the cast afterwards because of this.

At the moment, though, I was preoccupied by figuring out how to spell Cory's last name, so that I could write it in the blue ring, to ensure I knew which one was indeed the one thrown to me by him. Claro que si, I had my laptop in my bag, so I pulled that bad boy out. After googling his name, I pull up twitter because goodness knows, being front row, I HAD to tweet about this. However, Matthew's little solo set was going up, so I had to put it away.

Somehow, we get to the end of the set, people are leaving and there's only a few stragglers left. I decide I want to go speak to Lea about my experience seeing her on Broadway, but she's too busy talking to everyone else. Dejectedly, I begin walking back to my seat where all my stuff is, and I notice Matt sitting at the end of my row with tears and the stains of eye make-up pouring down his face. My first reaction is "Wow, they put a lot of eye makeup on the guys!", but then I catch up on the fact he is crying and ask him what's going on? What's wrong?

He admits that he's had a heart condition for a long time. However, he absolutely just KNOWS he just had a heart attack. He could actually feel the blockage from the bilateral vein/artery? (sp?) in his arm. Anyway, I let him know that Lubbock has a fantastic, one of the best in fact, heart hospitals in the nation. He perks up and is really excited. I inform him that the ER is quick and we'll get him right over there!

Jump ahead to later that day. The cast has to perform another evening set (the earlier was afternoon/matinee).

....oops. Jump to me 8 hours later and realizing I started writing this post this morning, fell asleep, went to work, and now I can't remember all of my dream. However, it also did include a large open field, two large houses with sizeable garages, Jeleesa being able to detach her body from her legs and be just legs, my mother at some point, and breaking and entering.

Ugh....
