...Green. And I will tell random strangers that for no reason at all.
This strange quirk of mine (the incessant needing to know what everyone's favorite color is) has now inspired a fun photo project. I am trying to capture the essence of what draws people to their favorite color and how they view it. I started out with small ambitions. Wanting to get maybe, 8-10 people to participate. In less than 24 hours, I had about 20 people respond to my request for models!
It's always nice knowing you've got friends who #1.) like to have their picture taken and #2.) like to help a girl out.
My only dilemma is deciding what to do with these photos post-365. I'm hoping this can be the focus of my 365 FFAT exhibit. Well, that is provided LKBproj365 gets an Art Trail spot. However, I feel very confident that we can. Granted, I would LOVE for us to get LHUCA. Even if it was the Ice House! In fact, I almost would rather us have that. Or Tornado Gallery. Then again, Hard Tops would probably be the easiest to book. Ugh. The other problem is figuring out who will still be with the project then (hopefully everyone!), but you never know. I don't want to book a great venue for 10 photographers and end up with 3. Granted, it would provide more space for those 3, but look poorly upon myself.
Anyway, that is greatly in the future, though I do realize I need to get started on researching that ASAP.
OK, enough of my incessant rambling about photography. (Although that's a large majority of what's on my mind currently.)
However, I am going to keep the topic on general "arts."
I need a job. Not right now, but after May. And I would love to find something where I can be happy and do what I love most: work within the arts community. Now, I know this isn't the most likely field for me to find a position, but it definitely is the one I will push the most toward. And trust me, when I push, I push hard.
OK, it is ridiculously late, and I'm rambling, as I always do, and beginning to use way too many commas... oh yes, and elipses...
Fin.
