07.08.09- Such a lovely evening

There has been a major development in my life recently.

This weekend I finally took off from work and went home to spend the Independence Day weekend with my family. I had a blast spending time with my siblings whom I love dearly! We had a blast playing the Wii, chasing one another around, visiting Wichita Falls, and swimming! (Side note- This was the first time I had been swimming in exactly one year. I even had to buy a bathing suit because I didn't know if I still even had one! Haha!)

My big moment, though, came when I was chatting with Christine about how much we already missed Dean and really wished we could go to London to visit him. So, I said, "Why not?" We decided that we were doing it. March 2010. Christine and I are planning a fabulous trip to visit the UK. While there we've got so much we want to do. So much so that we're planning on at least a week and a half, if not two weeks. Now, I realize that I have school during the semester, but we'll take one week as my spring break and the other I will just miss classes. (It will be after comps, so I don't really care! Haha!) I'm hoping to look at some schools while I am there, though. So, maybe that will help me in getting "excused" from my absences. Lol.

Anyway, almost as soon as I got back, Christine came over and we had a fantastic time planning things to do and see. We also made what I call "Visual Aides" to help us plan. These fantastic boards, I believe, will also be a good reminder to us to remember to SAVE our money because it will definitely be worth it when we land in London! HURRAY!

Monday I had the opportunity to take pictures for the Limelight's new show "Phallus Pan." I haven't seen the script, but it's a fantastic cast, so I'm sure it will be great! Anyway, we took some cast shots which turned out amazing. I seriously feel like a couple of them look like professional promo shots. It's so exciting! And then we took little character shots for each person. I'm really excited at how they all turned out and am really starting to feel confident in my work. It's wonderful!

Also happening that evening was something rather important. Christopher and I sat down and finally had a talk that we'd been needing to have for quite some time. We've decided it's best not to see each other officially as "boyfriend" and "girlfriend". We're both at rather pivotal and difficult points in life, which is in my opinion, not a great time to begin a relationship. Of course, as we started out friends, we'll definitely stay that way. I would hate not being able to hang out with him and sing fantastically awful made-up songs! Haha!

Tuesday was absolutely brilliant. After a rather drab day at work, I grabbed my paycheck and quickly headed to the store to grab all the items necessary... to have... a... SPAGHETTI NIGHT! I invited most of the front end staff over to my house yesterday evening. It was great! We had a blast, the food was great, and everyone just gets along so well! I love that we have such a sense of commraderie between our staff. It's really one of the things that keeps me around that place. Anyway, we had a blast eating and I found out that Kevin Thacker plays the guitar. Well, obviously, I sing... (haha!) so... he started playing some progressions and of course, I began making up lyrics. The whole room was in stitches by the end of my songs and it was great to hear everyone having such a good time. The final guests left around 11ish, when I started cleaning up a bit. I got quite inspired, though, and began to write. I came up with this song, "The Cyberstalker Song" to be exact. I'm not quite good enough at the guitar yet to play it well, but I did my best and already posted a preliminary version to facebook. I want to get some feedback, so we'll see how it goes.

As much as all this other stuff I've been doing is quite fun, I must say... I miss PAC! I wonder if they would be up for a camping trip this weekend... Hmm...

As I write this, it's Wednesday morning. Laying in bed has been fantastic. I don't have work until the afternoon shift, which is amazing. And I'm just going to leave it at that.
